How to Crochet a Potholder

My first attempt at a technical manual. In the attached link, I have provided in-depth and step-by-step instructions on how to crochet a potholder. Users can find a table of contents, materials required, FAQs, and gloss all detailing the types of terms or common dilemmas one might face while crocheting.

The Blowing Rock Art & History Museum (BRAHM) had various events coming up and wanted to inform the public about upcoming workshops, lectures, TAC Talks, and more. The formatting remains the same for the press releases, a nice way to keep it all uniform and consistent. Information required for the press release to get published includes time and date, cost (if any), location, a description of the event, and a linked social account so that if anyone has a question about the planned event they may contact us for inquiries.

Annual Report

The purpose of this project was to create a document that I had never done before. Being fortunate enough to expand my skills across all sorts of technical and professional writing pieces, finding the right project to take on was difficult. The museum that I intern for publishes its annual reports on its website for the public. This report is based loosely on their unpublished 2021 report. I opted to keep a somewhat similar design style between my annual report and the past reports they have posted. Included in the annual report includes a letter to the public, exhibition details and dates, past events, and the museum's expenses and revenue. Not included in the report is the gratitude section, as can be seen in previous reports. For this assignment and presentation, it felt inappropriate to post and upload all of the people who donated to the museum, are active members, or volunteers, onto my assignment without their permission.

I needed a style guide to explain the visual stylistic choices for my e-portfolio. An in-depth analysis of my self-brand, how I want to present myself, and my values, all shine through my choice of color palette and font style utilized throughout this website.

The Blowing Rock Art & History Museum (BRAHM) was looking for grant-writing interns for the Spring 22 semester. I, needing an internship for my major, applied and managed to explore the career field of grant-writing. I worked alongside BRAHM's Programs and Outreach Director, Willard Watson III, and learned how to research and apply for grants. It takes an extensive amount of time and patience, and great attention to detail, to make sure we qualify for a grant before starting the application. After spending hours researching potential grants, I had the opportunity to apply for grants from SouthArts, NC Humanities, Blue Ridge National Heritage Area, Watauga Arts Council, and Grants.gov.

This section consists of an accumulation of research papers and projects I have created throughout my educational career.
